The Sponsored Studio Award
The 2010 Sponsored Studio has been awarded to Julie Graves.
The Sponsored Studio Award is offered annually and aimed at early stage contemporary fine artists who live, or are planning to live, in the Portsmouth area. This award offers a free studio space for six months. It supports artists who have recently embarked on a career as a professional practitioner or who are returning to their practice after a significant break. The award is aimed at artists who would otherwise find it difficult to afford studio space in the Portsmouth area.
The selected artist is offered:
Free studio for six months
Free membership for one year
Professional development resources with ARC at Aspex
Access to facilities at the University of Portsmouth
Business and network advice from CIBAS
Participation in our Annual Open Studios
And an exhibition or event at GASP (Gallery Art Space Portsmouth)
Applications for the 2010 Sponsored Studio are now closed.
The 2011 Sponsored Studio Award will be advertised in October 2010.
