|
The work is concerned with distance in relation to form. How the rational and emotional ‘'being' manipulates the awareness of distance influencing the forming process within the contexts of individual realities. I reveal these realities which structure our lives using the body in prescribed form and by intuition I am the sole creator and destroyer of my work. The red tape is a symbol of restriction and boundaries to capture something and keep hold of it. The human being that becomes ensnared in the red tape is motionless with his senses impaired, an object to be gazed at, and subject to the audience's gaze. The captured figure never escapes and is bound and blinded by the material that supports him –- red tape. |
