"My recent work has begun to merge more traditional forms with aspects of new technology. Computer software such as Photoshop has proved an exciting medium by which to develop and process themes that interest me. Items, objects, and 'reclaimed' or 'redefined' images/snaps are the particular focus of a lot of current work. Time and memory are seen as mutually 'shared' preoccupations and the work seeks to draw out common and intuitive strands of recognition in the viewer as well as deeper personal perceptions of my own visual and emotional history. Marcel Proust refers to a 'Cathedral' of embodied time in his writing; the past,(visual, sensual and emotional) existing, in a non-linear sense, in the here and now. The work attempts a reading of part of the very complex human equation that links time, change and memory".
