Studio One

Studio One is our rolling artist opportunity to rent a studio at Art Space Portsmouth for short periods.

Our next open call is now open for applications for the period of 1st October – 30th November 2025*.

* This may be extended to the end of December, depending on the outcome of a couple of pending opportunities.

Updates will be posted on this page and on our social media as soon as we have news.

This is a fantastic opportunity for artists wanting a studio space to start or complete a project; to test ideas and develop new work; or see if having a dedicated space would help your practice, without the worry of making a big commitment.

The opportunity to have an exhibition in our gallery at the end of the residency

This opportunity is open to artists at all stages of their career, and we are dedicated to helping emerging artists get a step on the ladder.

Please note: the application form will say for 2-4 months, but it is only for the six weeks period August – mid-September.
