Whisper on Papers – Mina Amani

Private View: Friday 26th April, 6-8pm

Open Days: Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th April, 11am – 4pm

Mina Amani invites you to her first solo calligraphy-painting exhibition in the UK. She has been practicing “Kereshmeh Calligraphy”, a type of Iranian calligraphy for about 9 years. The letter of this calligraphy are derived from Persian Alphabet, which underwent a transformation in form and posture around 30 years ago by Iranian artist Ahmad Ariamanesh.
Kereshmeh itself is a script that echoes the Cuneiform of ancient inscriptions dating back 500 years before Christ. It has evolved through influences from nature, including wave movements, meadow dances, and the Sama dance associated with Sufi ceremonies.

In addition to the Private view show, there will be a short Iranian music performance by two young men, Parham and Roham Mokhtari. Your presence will truly make this experience unforgettable for her!
